Welcome to the NMCI Supplier Web Site

The Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) is a comprehensive, enterprise-wide initiative that makes a full range of network-based information services available to Sailors and Marines for day-to-day activities and in war. When fully implemented, NMCI will provide the Navy and Marine Corps secure, universal access to integrated voice, video, and data communications, pier-side connectivity to Navy vessels in port, and linkage among more than 360,000 desktops across the United States as well as sites in Puerto Rico, Iceland, and Cuba.

EDS is the Department of the Navy's partner and chief contractor for NMCI. Our commitment to the program's success relies on many contributors, including suppliers. This Web site allows businesses like yours to explore the potential for joining the EDS NMCI team through the Supplier Engagement Process.

Information is also provided concerning related processes and programs, including the Requirements-to-Award Process, NMCI Technology Certification Process, and NMCI Small Business Program.

Supplier Engagement Process

The Supplier Engagement Process, depicted below, is available for companies to showcase their products or services.

As the figure indicates, you will first be required to fill out a form that provides basic information about the product or service you are offering. Within the form, a question will prompt you to select one of three tracks that best applies to your product or service offering. Please follow the links below to learn more about these options.

  • The Client Solutions and Services track is for companies that have a product/service to offer the Department of the Navy for use by end users (e.g., PDAs).
  • The Labor/Reseller track applies to firms interested in potential opportunities to help EDS implement the NMCI program in the areas of staff augmentation and product reselling.
  • The Delivery Enhancement track is set up for companies that have a product/service that will enhance EDS' delivery capabilities (e.g, servers).
Interested firms are encouraged to complete the form, which is available by clicking on the button below.

Related Processes and Tools

The following processes and tools complement the Supplier Engagement Process. Please determine if they apply to you.

  • Requirements-to-Award Process - If you are with the Navy or Marine Corps and would like to request a product or service for NMCI, instead of using the Supplier Engagement Process, you will need to use the Requirements-to-Award Process (RAP). Click here to learn more about the process.
  • NMCI Supplier Certification - If you have a hardware or software product, you will be required to certify the product for use in the NMCI environment. Click here to learn what it means to be certified within NMCI.
  • Small Business Program - EDS is committed to working with small businesses through the NMCI program. If you qualify as a small business and would like more information, please click here.
